All members of the organization are expected to adhere to this code and follow it to the letter. While the guidelines are offered as a simplified set of rules for the publishing sector, the Code of Conduct however, defines the standards for all the individuals involved in the publishing sector, especially for the publishers, authors, editors and editors-in-chief.
The Code of Conduct covers the following aspects:
- General duties and responsibilities of publishers and editorial board members
- General duties and responsibilities of editors-in-chief and other members of the editorial staff
- Duties of the editors-in-chief and editors in relationship with the readers
- Duties of the editors-in-chief and editors in relationship with the authors
- Duties of the editors-in-chief and editors in relationship with the reviewers
- Duties of the editors-in-chief and editors in relationship with the publishers
- Other duties of the editors-in-chief, editors and publishers
